Miami Bahamas Goombay Festival
Jun 06, 2025 - Jun 08, 2025
Celebrate Bahamian culture and community heritage with three days of music, food and tradition in the heart of Coconut Grove. The Miami Bahamas Goombay Festival returns June 6–8, bringing Grand Avenue to life with festivities stretching from SW 37th Avenue to Elizabeth Street.
Since its founding in 1977, the Goombay Festival has honored the neighborhood’s Bahamian roots with a mix of cultural programming, live performances and family-friendly activities. This year’s headliners include Keke Wyatt and Ball Greezy, with more entertainment and event details to be announced soon.
The festival is anchored by the vibrant sights and sounds of Junkanoo, a centuries-old Bahamian tradition marked by rhythmic drumming, elaborate costumes and street processions. Attendees can also expect a wide array of food vendors serving classic Bahamian dishes such as conch fritters and conch salad, alongside performances by local and regional artists throughout the weekend.
As one of South Florida’s longest-running cultural festivals, Goombay continues to serve as a celebration of Caribbean identity and a gathering place for the Coconut Grove community and beyond.
