Established in 1944, the park is a tropical paradise nestled in the heart of the Redland District, just 35 miles south of Greater Miami. Surrounded by thousands of acres of tropical agriculture, the park is a showcase for South Florida’s agricultural community. More than 500 varieties of exotic fruits, herbs, spices and nuts from throughout the world are found in this lush 35-acre park. Visit the herb and vegetable garden, stroll through a shady banana grove or become more knowledgeable about poisonous plants. The only public garden of its kind in the U.S. Guided tours are conducted daily. Special tours can be arranged during the week for schools and groups. Picnic facilities are available.
