An Evening with Author Paola Mendoza
This event has passed.
Join Books & Books on Monday, October 14, for an evening with author Paola Mendoza as she discusses her latest novel, Solis, the gripping companion to Sanctuary. Each ticket includes entry to the event and a copy of the book, which will be provided upon arrival.
Set in the near future of 2033, Solis follows the harrowing experiences of undocumented immigrants forced into government labor camps. Seventeen-year-old Rania, a Lebanese teenager from Chicago, is among those subjected to inhumane conditions as they search for a powerful chemical that could give the corrupt government control over the weather. Alongside fellow prisoners, Rania begins a courageous fight for freedom in a story told through multiple perspectives.
