An Evening with Ketanji Brown Jackson
This event has passed.
Join the Books & Books Literary Foundation and the Adrienne Arsht Center on Saturday, September 7, for an evening with Ketanji Brown Jackson, the first Black woman appointed to the U.S. Supreme Court. Justice Jackson will discuss her inspiring new memoir, Lovely One, which details her remarkable journey to America's highest court. Named Ketanji Onyika, meaning "Lovely One," by her aunt, a Peace Corps worker in West Africa, Justice Jackson's story reflects the values instilled by her educator parents and her pride in her heritage. Her memoir offers a moving and openhearted narrative that will resonate with dreamers and inspire hope for a more just world.
This event is presented in collaboration with the University of Miami’s George P. Hanley Democracy Center. Attendees can also purchase a signed copy of Lovely One during the event.
