Discover a blend of visual art, music and community activities in a relaxed outdoor setting at The Bass. The Art Outside Annual Picnic returns Sunday, April 6, offering a free cultural experience for visitors of all ages.
This community gathering features diverse musical performances, including live sets by the FIU Latin Jazz Ensemble, Himalayan Salt Band and DJ nosocials. Attendees can explore innovative technology at the O Cinema Virtual Reality station or participate in the collaborative decoration of the Fountain of Youth installation, led by artist Haiiileen of Rainbow Oasiiis, while enjoying complimentary champagne.
Families with children will find dedicated activities in the Children's Pavilion, alongside art-making workshops inspired by current museum exhibitions, conducted by The Bass Creativity Center and Teen Board members. The event also features quiet spaces in the Chill & Read Zone with selections from the Miami Beach Public Library, and refreshments from the Teen Board Lemonade Stand.
Additional attractions include an announcement of the Creativity Center's annual Teen Art Exhibition winners, an art supplies exchange facilitated by The Things Lab and shopping opportunities at Artisan Alley featuring local small businesses.
