Mar 28, 2025
From: 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM
Local wildlife and urban skylines converge in an evening adventure along Miami's stunning waterways. BAYNANZA: Behind-the-Scenes Tour & Sunset Cruise takes place on Friday, March 28 at the Pelican Harbor Seabird Station as part of Miami Climate Week. This special event begins with an exclusive tour of the rehabilitation facility, where guests can meet ambassador animals and learn about the station's wildlife conservation efforts.
Following the tour, participants will embark on a two-hour sunset birding cruise aboard the "Explorer," navigating Biscayne Bay and the mangrove shoreline of the Morningside Rookery. Visitors can observe brown pelicans, magnificent frigatebirds and more than 30 other bird species in their natural habitat while enjoying panoramic views of Miami's illuminated skyline from the water.
Binoculars will be provided for those without their own equipment. The event is BYOB, allowing guests to bring travel-sized snacks and beverages, including alcohol, secured in bags for safety. The behind-the-scenes tour runs from 5:30 to 6:15 p.m., with the sunset cruise departing promptly at 6:30 p.m. and returning at 8:30 p.m. Early arrival is recommended as these popular cruises maintain a strict departure schedule.
