Black History Month Showcase

Enjoy an afternoon of art, music and community spirit at a cultural gathering in the heart of Goulds. Presented by Miami-Dade County Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces, the Black History Month Showcase takes place on Saturday, February 15 at JL (Joe) & Enid W. Demps Park, bringing together local talent and community members for an afternoon of entertainment and celebration.

Attendees can enjoy live music and explore art exhibitions showcasing works by local Black artists. The event also features spoken word performances that explore themes of identity and heritage, while a dedicated kids' fun zone ensures entertainment for the whole family.

Local food trucks and vendors will be on site, offering a variety of culinary options and unique merchandise that showcase the entrepreneurial spirit of Miami-Dade County. This free community gathering provides an opportunity to honor and celebrate the significant contributions of Black individuals to Miami-Dade County's rich cultural landscape.
