Join Pérez Art Museum Miami for Body Time by BODY FREEDOM FOR EVERY(BODY) x Commissioner on Sunday, December 8. This afternoon program blends art, advocacy and healing, offering a reflective space to explore themes of body autonomy, freedom and resistance.
The event begins at 1 PM with a tour of BODY FREEDOM FOR EVERY(BODY, a mobile gallery showcasing works by 120 artists, including Mickalene Thomas, Marilyn Minter and Barbara Kruger. At 1:30 PM, meet Commissioner Season Seven artist Antonia Wright in the gallery for an introduction to her installation State of Labor, a sound art piece using data sonification to address the evolving landscape of abortion access. The program concludes at 2 PM with a waterfront sound bath led by transdisciplinary artist Agua Dulce and spiritual practitioner Sayje Hewitt, offering a space for grounding and collective healing.
Attendees are encouraged to bring yoga mats and blankets for the sound bath session. Light refreshments will follow. RSVP is required to participate.
