Bronfman Plays Beethoven
Jan 30, 2026 - Jan 31, 2026
Starting: 8:00 PM
Masterpieces from two classical giants combine in an evening showcasing the height of orchestral and piano repertoire. Bronfman Plays Beethoven arrives at the Adrienne Arsht Center on January 30-31, 2026, as part of The Cleveland Orchestra in Miami concert series.
Grammy Award-winning pianist Yefim Bronfman takes center stage to perform Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 5, famously known as the "Emperor" Concerto. Under the direction of music director Franz Welser-Möst, the program also features Mozart's Symphony No. 41, the "Jupiter" Symphony.
Both compositions hold special significance as culminating works in their respective forms—Beethoven's final piano concerto and Mozart's final symphony. The "Emperor" Concerto showcases Beethoven's characteristic blend of technical demands and emotional depth, while the "Jupiter" Symphony demonstrates Mozart's mastery of counterpoint and orchestral color.
Bronfman, recognized internationally for his technical precision and interpretive insight, brings his distinctive approach to Beethoven's revolutionary concerto in this collaboration with one of America's most distinguished orchestras.
