The Chopin Foundation kicks off the Chopin Salon series' 2023/24 season with internationally-acclaimed, Spanish pianist Martin García García at the Miami Beach Woman's Club on Sunday, November 19. Known for his superlative musicality and technical prowess, García García will be performing a program of Chopin's timeless works that include 4 Mazurkas Op. 33; Preludes Op. 28: No. 13, No. 3, No. 2, No. 14; Grande Valse Brilliante Op. 18; Sonata Op. 35 in B flat minor, among others.
García García gained international attention when he won first prize at the prestigious 2021 Cleveland International Piano Competition and a bronze medal at the 2021 International Chopin Piano Competition. Since his breakthrough, García García has embarked on a whirlwind of performances with 80 concerts worldwide in this year alone. He has performed alongside prestigious orchestras such as the NHK Symphony Orchestra, Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra, Hamburg Symphoniker, Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra, Lithuanian National Symphony Orchestra, and the Brasilia Orchestra.
Admission includes a post-concert wine reception, where guests can meet and greet the artist, followed an an optional dinner.
