Clean Miami Beach: New Year Beach Cleanup
This event has passed.
Make a difference for the environment with an afternoon of community action at the Eden Roc Hotel. On Friday, January 24, the New Year Beach Cleanup brings together volunteers of all ages to help protect the ocean and preserve Miami’s beaches. This event is presented by Clean Miami Beach in partnership with Eden Roc and the City of Miami Beach.
Participants will be provided with sanitized gloves, buckets and pickers for the cleanup. Closed-toed shoes are recommended for working along the dunes, and attendees should bring reusable water bottles to stay hydrated at the refill station. Reef-safe sun protection is also advised.
Volunteers will meet at the Eden Roc garden, located at the lower-level pool near the beach entrance. Limited metered parking is available at 4621 Collins Avenue, with discounted rates for Miami Beach residents. Ride-sharing or public transportation is strongly encouraged due to limited parking availability.
Community service hours are available upon request and will be emailed following the event.
