Celebrate Miami’s vibrant cultural diversity at CultureFest 305, a free folklife festival on Saturday, November 9, at HistoryMiami Museum. This all-day event offers a lively mix of performances, demonstrations and hands-on activities that highlight the rich traditions of the Magic City. Enjoy a variety of cultural experiences, from a samba parade and Japanese taiko drumming to DJ lessons and rumba dancing.
Performances will run throughout the day, featuring the St. Sophia Hellenic Dance Troupe (11:00 a.m.), Sikan Afro Cuban Dance Project (noon), and the samba percussion parade with Miamibloco at 3:05 p.m. Other notable acts include Celtic fusion music by Gaêlica (1:00 p.m.) and a vibrant merengue set by Los Pascual (3:30 p.m.). ASL interpretation will be provided for all performances.
Visitors can also participate in cultural demonstrations such as a Polynesian hula dance (11:30 a.m.) and a rumba dance workshop (1:45 p.m.). Interactive demonstrations, including Seminole beadwork, DJ lessons, and henna art, will be available at various tents from 11:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Ongoing activities include craft stations, storytime sessions, and Zot Artz Arts for All from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Admission is free, but registration is required.
