Everglades National Park Cleanup & Educational Walk
Mar 26, 2025
From: 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM
Discover the unique ecosystem of America's largest subtropical wilderness while making a positive environmental impact through hands-on conservation efforts. The Everglades National Park Cleanup & Educational Walk takes place on Wednesday, March 26, at the Ernest F. Coe Visitor Center.
This event combines environmental stewardship with educational programming, offering participants the opportunity to help preserve the delicate Everglades ecosystem while learning about its ecological significance. Part of the Miami Climate Week™ lineup, this activity aligns with broader initiatives focused on climate action, resilience and environmental innovation across Miami-Dade County.
The cleanup effort is organized in partnership with GirlTREK Overtown and Catalyst Miami's Overtown Community Champions, bringing together diverse community groups for a common environmental cause. While helping to remove debris from the park, participants will gain insights about the area's natural history and the importance of wetland conservation.
Comfortable walking shoes are recommended for this four-hour event, which combines moderate physical activity with educational components. This session is part of a monthly series of environmental engagement opportunities presented by Miami Climate 365, making it accessible for both first-time participants and regular volunteers committed to ongoing conservation efforts.
