Women of extraordinary talent and dedication take center stage in an inspiring outdoor exhibition celebrating female leadership across diverse fields in Miami Beach. The 2025 Exemplary Women exhibit runs throughout March at Lummus Park, honoring Women's History Month with profiles of ten remarkable local leaders whose contributions have shaped the community.
The month-long installation will be inaugurated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Tuesday, March 4 from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Lummus Park between 8 and 9 Streets on Ocean Drive. Most honorees are expected to attend this special celebration presented by the Miami Beach Commission for Women and Miami Design Preservation League.
This year's distinguished group includes Fire Chief Digna Abello, philanthropist Toby Lerner Ansin, dermatologist Leslie Baumann, chef Michelle Bernstein, and acclaimed author Judy Blume. The exhibition also recognizes community activist Deborah Plutzik-Briggs, journalist Belkys Nerey, environmentalist Sophie Ringel, Olympic gold medalist Twanisha "TeeTee" Terry and DJ Tracy Young.
