Fridge Art Fair Miami: VINTAGE FRIDGE
This event has passed.
From December 3 to 8, the VINTAGE FRIDGE at Habitat Hyett offers a unique blend of past and present as part of Fridge Does Freddie: The Freddie Mercury Project: Featuring the Return of the Flamingo. This showcase highlights vintage aesthetics paired with contemporary art, creating a dialogue between eras while celebrating themes of artistic freedom and resilience inspired by Freddie Mercury. The exhibition opens with the “Radio Ga Ga” VIP Opening Preview on Wednesday, December 4, from 2 to 6 p.m. with public viewing available daily from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Set in the heart of Miami Beach’s iconic Lincoln Road, Habitat Hyett provides an ideal setting for the VINTAGE FRIDGE. Known for its 1940s Art Deco charm, this flagship location is South Beach’s premier destination for vintage clothing, designer items, and local publications. The venue’s historic and stylish atmosphere enhances the exhibition’s exploration of the intersection of tradition and modernity.
The VINTAGE FRIDGE is one of four distinctive venues featured in this year’s expanded Fridge Art Fair, which also includes the MINI-FRIDGE at the LGBT Visitor Center, the RAINBOW FRIDGE at Dream South Beach, and the WALK-IN FRIDGE at The One50 Hotel. Together, these venues showcase a dynamic mix of artist projects, performances and workshops.
