Island Grooves Fest: Calixto Oviedo and the Cuban Jazz Train

Acclaimed ensemble Calixto Oviedo and the Cuban Jazz Train returns to Live on the Plaza on Saturday, January 4, 2025, as the final performance of Island Grooves Fest weekend. Known for their unique fusion of Afro-Cuban music and jazz, the group brings a blend of African polyrhythms, Spanish influences and blues to the stage. Oviedo, a Latin Grammy nominee has collaborated with iconic artists such as Paquito D'Rivera, Arturo Sandoval, Gonzalo Rubalcaba and Chucho Valdés.  Doors open at 6 p.m. with happy hour specials, and general admission seating is first-come, first-served.
