Three-time GRAMMY nominated saxophonist Troy Roberts has become one of the most sought-after musicians in contemporary jazz, collaborating with legends like Joey DeFrancesco, Van Morrison and Kurt Elling. Jazz Encounters featuring Troy Roberts takes place Friday, April 11 at the WDNA Jazz Gallery. This Australian immigrant turned NYC-based artist brings his remarkable versatility to an intimate performance setting, fresh off the release of his sixteenth album, Green Lights.
The cozy WDNA Jazz Gallery offers the perfect venue to experience Roberts' masterful saxophone work up close. After the main performance concludes at 9:30 p.m., attendees are invited to participate in an open jazz jam session – musicians should bring their instruments to join in.
Ticket options include $40 for general admission, $30 for WDNA members (with valid membership ID) and free admission for students with valid ID. All proceeds support WDNA 88.9FM, helping to sustain Miami's vibrant jazz culture.
