Jazzmen: Author Larry Tye and the Jazz Collective

Music and literary exploration converge in this special evening dedicated to jazz's transformative influence on American culture. Jazzmen: Author Larry Tye and the Jazz Collective takes place on Wednesday, February 5, at the Miami Beach Jewish Community Center.

Author Larry Tyre will discuss his book The Jazzmen: How Duke Ellington, Louis Armstrong and Count Basie Transformed America with three-time Grammy winner Zach Larmer, who serves as COO of Young Musicians Unite. The evening features live performances by the Young Musicians Unite Jazz Ensemble, adding musical context to the conversation.

This event is part of the City of Miami Beach's Black History Month celebration, a month-long series of cultural programs highlighting African-American heritage and achievements.
