Kayak Clean Up at Oleta River State Park
This event has passed.
Make a difference while enjoying the outdoors at the Kayak Cleanup at Oleta River State Park on Monday, December 2. Hosted by Clean Miami Beach in partnership with The Brady Hunter Foundation, this event invites volunteers to paddle to Sandspur Island and help remove trash.
Participants will receive all necessary cleanup supplies, including sanitized gardening gloves, buckets and pickers. Closed-toed shoes are recommended for work along the dunes, and attendees should bring reef-safe sun protection, a hat and water in a reusable container (no plastic, please). Kayaks are available on a first-come, first-serve basis, and volunteers aged 16 or older (or younger with a chaperone) are welcome to join.
The meeting point is near the Kayak Rental Outdoor Center at 3400 NE 163rd St., North Miami Beach, marked by a turtle flag. Volunteers will receive complimentary parking by mentioning the cleanup event at the park gate. Please arrive on time, as the event begins promptly.
This family-friendly initiative is open to all ages and offers community service hours for participants.
