Led by WPLG Local 10 News Miami anchor and environmental advocate Louis Aguirre, this special symposium will explore the essential role of media in addressing Florida’s climate challenges. Drawing on his impactful “Don’t Trash Our Treasure” series, Aguirre will highlight the critical stories and local heroes working to preserve Florida’s coral reefs, emphasizing how interconnected these ecosystems are with our food security, economy and lifestyle. Held in the Frost Planetarium, this free lecture starts at 7:00 p.m., with doors opening at 6:30 p.m. Seating is first-come, first-served, and food and beverages will be available for purchase before the program begins. Please note that registration for this event does not include access to museum exhibitions, which close at 6:00 p.m.
