Innovative solutions to climate change are emerging right here in South Florida, where scientists and leaders are pioneering technologies to protect our coastal communities. LIVE@Frost Science: Making Miami Climate Ready takes place on Wednesday, February 26 at the Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science, showcasing local initiatives.
The evening features three presentations inside the Frost Planetarium. Francesca de Quesada Covey will introduce the ClimateReady Tech Hub, a collaborative effort developing new technologies to address changing weather and water patterns. Dr. Bill Anderson from Florida International University will discuss the development of environmentally friendly, resilient concrete, while University of Miami's Dr. Andrew Baker will explain innovations in coral breeding and coastal protection through hybrid reefs and seawalls.
The program begins at 7:00 p.m., with doors opening at 6:30 p.m. While admission is complimentary, seating is allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Attendees can purchase refreshments before the presentations begin. Please note that this evening event does not include access to museum exhibitions, which close at 6:00 p.m.
Complimentary tickets are available with a limit of four per transaction. The program takes place in the Frost Planetarium.
