Mango Festival
Jul 12, 2025 - Jul 13, 2025
From: 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Tropical fruit enthusiasts and culinary adventurers can immerse themselves in a celebration dedicated to one of Miami's most beloved fruits during a weekend of tastings, demonstrations and entertainment. The Mango Festival takes place July 12 & 13 at Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden, continuing a tradition that has spanned over three decades.
This two-day event showcases hundreds of exotic mango varieties through multiple activations designed to highlight the fruit's versatility and cultural significance. Visitors can sample diverse mango cultivars grown in Fairchild's own Tropical Fruit Program, with bite-sized fruit tastings available for purchase while supplies last.
The festival marketplace features local artisans offering mango-themed products, while food vendors present creative culinary interpretations incorporating the featured fruit. Refreshment options include the garden's signature mango smoothies and, for those 21 and over, specialty cocktails highlighting fresh mango flavors at the Mango Mania Bar.
Educational components include a lecture series with presentations by mango experts covering topics from cultivation techniques to cooking demonstrations and even beauty applications. These sessions provide valuable insights for both novice gardeners and experienced horticulturists.
For those interested in growing their own mangoes, the Fairchild Choice Mango Tree Sale offers specially selected varieties suited to the South Florida climate. Additionally, fresh mangoes harvested from the garden's collection are available for purchase, though these popular items typically sell quickly.
Throughout the weekend, visitors can enjoy live music performances by local artists and participate in family-friendly activities on the Garden House Lawn. The event culminates with the Annual Mango Sunday Brunch, a curated culinary experience featuring prominent Miami chefs creating mango-inspired dishes.
The Mango Festival represents one of Fairchild's signature annual events, combining educational opportunities with sensory experiences that celebrate both agricultural heritage and culinary innovation.
