Discover a city-wide celebration of arts, culture and family fun across Miami Beach's prominent cultural institutions. Miami Beach Family Day, happening Saturday, March 29, offers a diverse lineup of activities at multiple locations throughout the city, with the Miami Beach Trolley providing complimentary transportation between participating venues.
The day begins with The Bass Museum of Art opening its doors early for hands-on activities at The Creativity Center, while the Miami Beach Botanical Garden showcases environmental art installations created by local students.
Highlights include Pablo Cano's Musical Marionettes performance at the Miami Beach Botanical Garden, featuring the artist himself alongside opera singer Maria Elena Vallejo. At the Jewish Museum of Florida-FIU, families can participate in History Harvest, sharing their own stories through oral histories, gallery drawings, and readings. The Miami Beach Pride Family Picnic at Pride Park features bounce houses, outdoor games and crafts for all ages.
Creative workshops abound throughout the day: Miami Beach Urban Studios offers DJ basics and set design lessons, Moonlighter Fablab hosts structural design activities, and The Wolfsonian presents glass-inspired crafts inspired by the historic Geneva Window. Younger visitors can enjoy free miniature golf on Lincoln Road, while those 10 and under can participate in bike-riding lessons at the Euclid Oval.
The festivities continue into the evening with a family-friendly roller disco at the Miami Beach Bandshell from 6-10 p.m., featuring DJs Nikita Green and Yung Algebra. Miami Beach residents can enjoy free skate rentals, while non-residents pay $10.
All activities are designed to engage participants of all ages, creating an enriching day of community connection through art, history, and outdoor recreation.
