Independent films illuminate untold stories of African American history and resilience at this special screening event. The Miami Black History Film Festival, taking place February 26 at Liberty Square Community Center, showcases select works from the DC and Atlanta Black History Film Festival's 2025 program. From 134 submissions, audiences can experience 10 compelling short films and one feature presentation that bring previously overlooked historical narratives to light. The evening includes a reception and live performances in Liberty City's revitalized community hub. This cultural event spotlights Miami's Black heritage and ongoing community renewal through Related Urban.
