Miami Sailing Week
The date for this annual event has passed. A new date will be provided when available.
A world-class regatta since 2010, Miami Sailing Week draws sailing competitors and aficionados to the waterfront of picturesque Coconut Grove every March. Shoving off from Regatta Park, the week consists of multi-class sailing races on the clear blue waters of Biscayne Bay. This year's youth competitions are scheduled for March 16-17, 2024, with the adult competition dates still to be announced.
As Miami’s largest spring regatta, Miami Sailing Week benefits the Coconut Grove Sailing Club Youth Program. Now in its twelfth year, sailors from 20 countries (some as far away as Australia!) will race aboard more than 200 boats for an exciting week on the water. With multi-class races taking place over both weekends, Miami Sailing Week also includes cocktail parties, cultural exhibits and awards ceremonies bringing together sailors and the local community.
While sailors unwind between races and work on their vessels, fans can enjoy the spectacular waterfront views of the races from Regatta Park’s Miami Sailing Week Village with hospitality tents featuring cocktails, food and live music by a variety of vendors and sponsors. A number of social events are also planned for the week.
Art and culture are major highlights of Miami Sailing Week. Every year, the festival aims to integrate a cultural tie-in to showcase the art of sailing through the lens of the world’s best photographers, artists and musicians with a thematic exhibition. Throughout the years, organizers have worked with renowned artists like nautical photographers Cory Silken, Franco Pace and Onne van der Wal, as well as Miami-based light painter Vicki DaSilva, Florida-based boat builder George Krewson and Italian painter Roberto Fiorentino.
Racing registration information is currently available for the youth division. Adult competition dates are forthcoming.
