Enjoy an afternoon of live music and cultural celebration as talented musicians come together for a special community performance in Liberty City. The Mobile WALLCAST® Concert: Family Music Day takes place on Saturday, January 25, from 2:00-6:00 p.m. at the African Heritage Cultural Arts Center, marking both Black History Month and the Center's 50th anniversary.
New World Symphony Fellows will share the stage with the Miami Northwestern Band, creating an afternoon of exceptional musical collaboration. This free event celebrates the legacy of Black culture through live performances that unite the community in a meaningful way.
The partnership between the New World Symphony and the African Heritage Cultural Arts Center brings together emerging artists and community members for an engaging program that honors both tradition and innovation. Located at 6161 NW 22nd Ave., the Center has served as a vital hub for arts education and cultural enrichment in Liberty City since 1975, offering comprehensive training in dance, drama, music and visual arts.
Supported by organizations including the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation and Jackson Health System, this Mobile WALLCAST® Concert provides an accessible platform for artistic expression and community connection.
