Multiple event times

Curated by festival co-owner and multi-Grammy Award winner Jon Batiste, this year’s event will, once again, feature the kind of great music and jam sessions that made Switzerland’s Montreux Jazz Festival legendary, bringing together outstanding musicians and music lovers for three days of memorable performances in a beautiful waterfront location.
Montreux Jazz Festival Miami Headliners
Friday, February 28
Jon Batiste & Friends
Known for his performances on the piano, keyboards and guitar, singer, songwriter and composer Jon Batiste will kick off the festival, accompanied by a lineup of his talented friends. Expect to be enthralled by his jazz, R&B and soulful style as he plays selections from his chart-making studio and soundtrack albums.
Saturday, March 1
Janelle Monáe
With her cool dance moves, iconic black and white stage attire and wide-ranging vocals, Grammy Award-nominated singer-songwriter and rapper Janelle Monáe is sure to put on a great show. Monáe’s style is a unique combination of R&B, pop, funk and hip-hop.
Sunday, March 2
La Descarga
The Spanish term “la descarga” translates in English to “the download,” and Sunday’s Afro-Cuban jam session will be a download of creative music as an all-star lineup of musicians get together for an improvised jam session. Featured artists will include Jon Batiste and Latin Grammy nominee Cimafunk & La Tribu (Cimafunk’s high octane band). Celebrated local jazz pianist Alfredo Rodriguez, Grammy Award-nominated percussionist and drummer Pedrito Martinez, and Black Cuban rapper Robe L Ninho are also scheduled to perform. Rounding out the list is new artist Wampi, who’ll bring his signature style of hip-hop, rap and R&B all the way from the United Kingdom, along with Cuban percussionist and drummer Yissy Garcia. More artists will be announced as the event approaches.
Nightly Jam Sessions
The original Montreux Jazz Festival is famous for its jam sessions. In addition to the headlined Sunday jam session, the Monteux Jazz Festival Miami will continue this tradition on Friday and Saturday night too. After the headliners, the main stage will be cleared for more great musicians to create musical magic. Master classes for aspiring artists will also be held.
Dining During The Festival
The Montreux Miami Experience will feature food and beverage vendors at the festival’s scenic location overlooking Dinner Key Marina. Chef Henrique Sá Pessoa, whose restaurant Alma in Lisbon, Portugal, received two MICHELIN stars, will serve up some of the destination’s best seafood straight from his restaurant Sereia. You can also enjoy a gourmet smash burger from new restaurant Celia's, and the waterfront restaurant Bayshore Club, a local favorite, will serve its American fare with a Miami twist.
