Dec 05, 2024
From: Noon to 6:00 PM
The Museum of Graffiti marks its fifth anniversary with a special Art Week celebration presented by G-Pay on Thursday, December 5, offering visitors a day filled with new exhibitions, artist discussions and exclusive releases. This event is part of a multi-day program that brings together celebrated artists and art lovers in an engaging experience that honors graffiti’s role in modern culture.
Guests can explore the Museum’s three distinct exhibition spaces, each showcasing a unique collection. In the main gallery, OG SLICK debuts his solo exhibition MIA, a milestone in his career as a graffiti artist and designer. The Art of Hip Hop space hosts Cey Adams’ DEPARTURE: 40 Years of Art & Design, a retrospective that reflects the artist’s influence on hip-hop-inspired visual art. At the Private Gallery, TRISTAN EATON presents an exhibit dedicated to the Women of Marvel, a fresh take on iconic comic characters that blends Eaton’s distinct style with cultural icons.
From noon to 6 p.m., the Spotify Artists’ Lounge opens on the Museum’s patio, where guests can enjoy live DJ sets, craft cocktails and a vibrant environment that includes live art by balloon artist Balloonski and the talents of Big Nance. At 1 p.m., the three featured artists—Cey Adams, Tristan Eaton and Slick—come together for a panel discussion, offering insights into their careers and creative processes. This is followed by an exclusive drop from Cey Adams: a vintage Def Jam poster collection from 1989-1999, available for purchase at 2 p.m.
