New Years Resolution Beach Cleanup

Help protect Miami’s coastlines at a community-focused beach cleanup hosted by Clean Miami Beach and the Miami Beach EDITION. Taking place on Tuesday, January 14, from 4 to 6 p.m., the New Year’s Resolution Beach Clean Up invites participants of all ages to contribute to preserving the ocean and its ecosystems. Cleanup supplies, including sanitized gardening gloves, buckets, bags and pickers, will be provided, but participants are encouraged to wear closed-toed shoes for dune areas and bring reusable water bottles for on-site refills. Reef-safe sun protection is also recommended.

The event begins promptly, with the meeting point located oceanfront near the lifeguard tower—look for the turtle flag. Metered street parking is available, as well as additional parking at 2660 Collins Avenue. Community service hours are offered for those who arrive on time.

The Miami Beach EDITION, a leader in sustainability through its Stay Plastic Free campaign, collaborates with Clean Miami Beach to organize these impactful initiatives, emphasizing the importance of reducing single-use plastics.
