PAMM Art Storytime: Calida Rawles
This event has passed.
The Pérez Art Museum Miami is hosting another engaging PAMM Art Storytime session on Saturday, July 27. This free event, inspired by the artwork of visual artist Calida Rawles, will introduce young minds to the museum and the world of art.
The program begins with a guided tour led by a PAMM teaching artist. Geared towards sparking young imaginations and observation skills, the tour will focus on Rawles's water-themed artworks. Following the tour, participants will enjoy a storytime session featuring the book "All the Water in the World" by George Ella Lyon and illustrated by Katherine Tillotson. To wrap up the session, there will be a hands-on artmaking activity for the young participants.
PAMM Art Storytime takes place every fourth Saturday of the month. Intended for 3-5 year olds in the company of a parent or guardian, PAMM Art Storytime builds upon the foundations of literacy. Young learners can participate in a gallery tour facilitated by a PAMM teaching artist and an art-related storybook reading followed by a hands-on activity. Space is limited. Pre-registration is required.
