Apr 08, 2025
Starting: 7:30 PM
Transport yourself to the elegance of Regency-era England amid the Mediterranean Revival architecture of one of Miami's most iconic estates. Pride & Prejudice at Vizcaya takes place Tuesday, April 8 at Vizcaya Museum & Gardens as part of the 42nd annual Miami Film Festival lineup.
This special 20th-anniversary screening of the 2005 adaptation coincides with Jane Austen's 250th birthday celebration. The film stars Keira Knightley as Elizabeth Bennet, a young woman navigating familial expectations and societal pressures in the English countryside, and Matthew Macfadyen as the complex Mr. Darcy, whose initial encounters with Elizabeth create a memorable clash of personalities that evolves throughout the story.
Presented in partnership with Miami Book Fair, the evening extends beyond the screening with Austen-inspired activities throughout the grounds. Visitors can participate in themed photo opportunities, engage in period-appropriate games and receive exclusive giveaways that honor Austen's literary legacy.
The historic Vizcaya estate provides an atmospheric backdrop for this celebration of one of literature's most enduring romances, offering attendees an opportunity to experience the timeless tale in surroundings that complement the film's aesthetic sensibilities.
