Explore the power of music in spiritual practice at HistoryMiami Museum on Saturday, September 21. Sacred Spaces delves into the role of sound, voice and instruments in religious traditions, featuring live performances and a discussion with Ethnomusicologist and Professor Emeritus of Music, Dr. Gerdès Fleurant.
Complementing the music segment of the event, the photo series SANCTUARY: Our Sacred Place by Little Haiti artist Woosler Delisfort will be on display. The series captures moments of spiritual connection within Miami's temples, churches and mosques, highlighting the rich cultural heritage of the city's Indigenous, African, and Caribbean communities.
