Spring Mix

Miami City Ballet's Spring Mix program brings a vibrant exploration of dance to the Arsht Center stage from March 28 - 30, 2025. This diverse program highlights the range and versatility of dance, showcasing contrasting styles from the powerful and dynamic to the soulful and introspective.

Jerome Robbins' Glass Pieces is a postmodern and classical mashup set to the pulsating rhythms of Philip Glass's score, capturing the energy of metropolitan life. José Limón's Chaconne pays homage to his Mexican heritage with a solo masterpiece originally danced by Limón himself. Set to J.S. Bach's evocative violin work, this performance balances control with expressive freedom.

The program culminates with the company premiere of Alexei Ratmansky's Pictures at an Exhibition. This visually stunning ballet features ten dancers adorned in Adeline Andre's designer costumes, bringing the abstract paintings of Wassily Kandinsky to life through movement, all set to Mussorgsky's music.
