Acclaimed Uruguayan playwright Sergio Blanco’s thought-provoking play, Tebas Land, returns to Miami for a limited engagement at the Westchester Cultural Arts Center from November 7 to 10 and November 14 to 17. This powerful drama, presented in Spanish with English subtitles, delves into complex themes of guilt, identity and the nature of storytelling.
Set in a prison basketball court, Tebas Land unfolds as a series of intense encounters between an accused man and a writer investigating the crime. Inspired by the Greek myth of Oedipus, the play explores the blurred lines between fiction and reality as the writer attempts to transform the tragic events into a compelling narrative.
