Enjoy an evening of creativity, community and music honoring the life and art of Oscar Fuentes, also known as The Biscayne Poet. Hosted at Sweat Records on Friday, January24, The Biscayne Poet’s Typewriter & Vinyl Birthday Bash marks Fuentes' 50th trip around the sun with a night of poetry, live music and DJ-curated sounds.
The festivities begin at 7:00 p.m. with performances from poets and musicians. At 8:30 p.m., a DJ takes over, spinning vinyl selections brought by attendees from a curated selection of Oscar’s favorite genres, including jazz, hip-hop, blues and Latin music.
Snacks and refreshments will be provided.
