Tim Murray is WITCHES!
This event has passed.
Get ready for a night of laughter and wit as Tim Murray brings his debut comedy hour, WITCHES!, to the Adrienne Arsht Center on Friday, October 4. Combining standup with original comedy songs, Murray delves into his favorite pop culture witches, sharing hilarious personal stories of growing up as a closeted, effeminate boy. Known for his unique style, akin to a gay Bo Burnham in drag, Murray's performance is both a tribute to the LGBTQIA+ community and a celebration of finding one's own "coven."
WITCHES! is filled with engaging stories and songs, such as I Wanna Be Witches, reflecting on childhood and the transformation of superheroes into witches, and I Hate Kids, highlighting his lifelong aversion to children. The show also includes the showstopping number Dr. Dillamond’s Lament, inspired by Wicked. Throughout the performance, Murray celebrates famous witches from The Craft to Sabrina the Teenage Witch, drawing parallels to the queer experience.
Murray, who can be seen in The Other Two on Prime Video and the film Swan Song, is also a viral sensation on TikTok and a seasoned standup comedian. With appearances at SF Sketchfest, The Brooklyn Comedy Festival, and more, he brings a wealth of experience and humor to the stage.
