On Wednesday, February 19 at Miami Dade College's Padrón Campus, Time and Place: Multitudes of Black Experience in Miami will delve into the history and cultural significance of Black Miami, inspired by the work of artist Kabuya Pamela Bowens-Saffo.
Distinguished scholars, Dr. Valerie Patterson, Dr. Donette Francis and Dr. Simeon Richardson, will share their insights on the intersection of art, history and Black identity in Miami. They will explore how Bowens-Saffo's work reflects the time, place and cultural nuances of Miami's Black community.
