Tribeca Festival: Makaya McCraven

Experience an evening of innovative soundscapes as Tribeca Festival: Makaya McCraven takes over the Miami Beach Bandshell on Wednesday, December 4. Drummer, composer and producer Makaya McCraven brings his genre-defying artistry to the stage, featuring music from his acclaimed album In These Times. This ambitious project, over seven years in the making, showcases McCraven’s unique ability to blend jazz roots with modern influences, creating poly-textural arrangements that defy categorization.

The event also includes Brainville, a vinyl-spinning session by DJ Kumi and Carter Jackson-Brown of WDNA community jazz radio. They’ll transport audiences to a world where jazz meets beats, blending the classics with contemporary sounds.
