Unveiling of Public Art on Lincoln Road
This event has passed.
On Tuesday, November 19, the City of Miami Beach will unveil two public art installations along Lincoln Road. The event begins on the 400 block, showcasing Daniel Anderson’s XO World Monumental Sculpture and Rubem Robierb’s Dream Machine Butterfly.
Anderson’s 12-foot-high sculpture, made from 20,000 lbs. of stainless steel, symbolizes inclusiveness and hope. Inspired by the game of Jacks, the piece features an “X” representing love through sign language and an “O” as a globe, promoting global unity. Robierb’s Dream Machine Butterfly reflects resilience and aspiration, inviting viewers to stand between its wings and make a wish. These installations are part of the City’s ongoing public art initiative in partnership with the Lincoln Road Business Improvement District.
