Vizcaya Late: Remembrance

Honor indigenous voices and traditions at Vizcaya Late: Remembrance on Wednesday, January 22, at the Vizcaya Museum and Gardens. The evening, hosted by Voices of the River of Grass, will feature a blend of cultural ceremonies, performances and exhibitions. Tonalxochitil Comunidad de Danza Azteca and Conchera will lead the opening and closing ceremonies. Attendees can view a special video interview with traditional artist Leroy Osceola, a direct descendant of Seminole Chief Osceola, along with displays of Miccosukee and Seminole artistry. The event also includes a fashion show by Indigenous designer Krystle Billie and the annual Silenced Lives Exhibit, which honors Missing and Murdered Indigenous People (MMIP). Set against the backdrop of Vizcaya Village, this gathering promises a reflective celebration of culture and remembrance.
The estate's monthly Vizcaya Late series welcomes the community to enjoy the Main House and gardens after hours. Each installment features a lineup of different activations and experiences.
