Vizcaya's Hardwood Hammock: A Behind the Scenes Guided Tour

Journey through a hidden natural sanctuary in the heart of Vizcaya's historic estate grounds. Vizcaya's Hardwood Hammock: A Behind the Scenes Guided Tour will be offered on Friday, February 21, led by Gardener and Hammock specialist Eric Fleites.

This intimate guided experience provides access to normally restricted areas of Vizcaya's native forest ecosystem. Participants will explore different native habitats and plant species while learning about the preservation and significance of this historic hammock from the museum's expert horticulture staff.

The tour, which includes general admission to Vizcaya Museum and Gardens, is suitable for participants over age 5. Due to the natural terrain, attendees are advised to wear long sleeves, long pants, sneakers and hats for comfort and protection. The program proceeds in all weather conditions.
