Showcasing chart-topping hits and breakout singles from “Gimme the Light” and “Get Busy” to more-recent releases, the Grammy-winning artist has elevated the dancehall genre from its beginnings in underground clubs to worldwide recognition.

Formula 1 Crypto.com Miami Grand Prix: May 3-5

For the third consecutive year, Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens will host a Formula 1 Grand Prix race: the Formula 1 Crypto.com Miami Grand Prix. The world’s finest drivers will start their engines and race on a 19-turn track that speeds them past a beach, a marina, palm trees, 11 grandstands and numerous fan zones. The three-day weekend begins with practice on the Miami International Autodrome course and continues with more practice and qualifying rounds on Saturday before the main event on Sunday. Grandstand, campus passes and premium seating are available.

The Mad Hatter’s Brunch: Queen’s Edition: May 12

This Mother’s Day, treat the queen of your heart to a unique “Alice in Wonderland”-themed brunch at Isabelle’s in The Ritz-Carlton, Coconut Grove, Miami. Guests can enjoy bottomless mimosas, Bloody Marys, sangria, a limited-edition buffet and Mad Hatter-inspired à la carte options, including strawberry and champagne pancakes, Queen’s royal hash and a dessert carousel. Turning Sweet 16, SweetHeat Miami, the popular Pride fest created by women for women, will host pool parties, wellness sessions, an art show and sizzling nightlife with food, drinks, DJs, live music, themed socials and an art showcase in Miami Beach, Wynwood and Downtown Miami.

Magic City Miami Festival: May 16-19

The girls-only Magic City Miami Festival returns for its third edition. Organized by lesbian advocates Boss Britt, DJ Excel, Girly Anderson and Melissa Scott, the all-women festival is a vibrant and inclusive celebration of the LGBTQIA+ community. Events, including exclusive parties, will take place throughout the destination and feature music, art, a yacht party, female DJs and more.

Redland International Orchid Festival: May 17-19

Fruit & Spice Park in Homestead will be abloom during the Redland International Orchid Festival. It’s one of the oldest, largest and most prestigious orchid shows in the U.S.; nearly 90 of the world’s leading growers will showcase and sell a wide variety of orchid species and hybrids. There’ll also be judging of the best plants by American Orchid Society judges.

Haitian Compas Festival: May 18

Timed to coincide with Haitian Heritage Month, the Haitian Compas Festival at FPL Solar Amphitheater in Downtown Miami’s Bayfront Park will feature high-energy musical performances by Kai, Nu Look, Klass, Ekip, King Street, Mood, T-Vice, Mizik Mizik and more.

Japanese Festival: May 19

Celebrate Asian and Pacific American Heritage Month in Miami at the Japanese Festival at Ichimura Miami Japan Garden on Watson Island. The festival offers free entrance and a variety of attractions, such as a live sushi chef demonstration, ikebana (the Japanese art of flower arrangement) learning, taiko drumming performances and a cosplay fashion show. For a small fee, visitors can also experience wearing a yukata, take photos and participate in an authentic Japanese tea ceremony.

Broadway, Blessings and Brunch: May 19

Temple Israel of Greater Miami will host “Broadway, Blessings, and Brunch” in honor of Jewish American Heritage Month. Starring singers from the vocal studio of Manny Perez, the Good Morning Gala will feature Broadway songs like “Summertime” and “Bring Him Home,” among others. In addition to brunch and the show, there will also be a silent auction and raffle prizes.

Hyundai Air & Sea Show: May 25 -26

The Hyundai Air & Sea Show will return to Miami Beach for its eighth annual “Greatest Show Above the Earth” extravaganza on Memorial Day weekend. All six branches of the U.S. military, police, firefighter and first responder agencies will unite for jaw-dropping displays of choreographed “Top Gun”-style flyovers, special op demonstrations and interactive displays of military technology. Saturday's Music Explosion concert and fireworks show will light up Lummus Park, paying homage to our nation's heroes.

Miami International Piano Festival: May 25-26

Now in its 25th season, the Miami International Piano Festival will present two Memorial Day weekend performances at The Wolfsonian-FIU in South Beach. From Israel, virtuoso pianist Alexandra Segal will perform a unique recital on May 25, followed by Brazilian pianist Cristian Budu on May 26.
