As a child, Gloria Estefan would visit South Beach with her family. While sitting on a bench with her Grandfather, young Gloria pointed across the street at the Cardozo Hotel and said, "I am going to buy that hotel one day." Today, her dream is a reality, as Cardozo is now owned by her and her husband, Emilio. In 2019, they unveiled Cardozo South Beach as a refined and contemporary luxury boutique hotel, while maintaining the essence of the hotel she fell in love with as a child. Cardozo offers 41 guest rooms, including single and double bedded rooms, as well as a variety of suites, to include the 1,500 square foot Penthouse. To help realize their dream, the Estefans have called upon, Benchmark, A Global Hospitality Company, to manage Cardozo as part of their Hotels & Resorts Collection.
