Losner Park
Outdoor Experiences
A quiet enclave in downtown Homestead, Losner Park is a historic outdoor park on the main strip of Krome Avenue. At just under one acre, this South Dade park serves as the perfect respite during a day of shopping or after lunch out on the town.
Park Activities
There is a central green space where young children can play, plenty of benches and a covered stage where locals and visitors enjoy outdoor concerts and shows. For a touch of nostalgia, visitors can stop by the onsite veterans memorial and pay their respects to our nation’s heroes.
Many of these spaces are available for rent and can be reserved on a first come, first served basis. All rentals have a four-hour time limit. Contact the park for more information about rentals.
Future Renovation
Losner Park is awaiting a $10 million reimagination and expansion project that will turn this quaint outdoor space into a true downtown destination. Once complete, it will have a 200-person restaurant, an adventure-style playground, a “hammock garden” and a large fountain with a 50-foot-tall water feature, lighted jets, music and dramatic fire jets. For more information about this renovation and its projected timeline, contact the City of Homestead Parks & Recreation Office at (305) 224-4570.
Visiting the Park
Losner Park is accessible by car or the free Homestead Trolley, which stops at Losner Park on its daily route. Contact the park ahead of your visit to confirm normal operating hours and amenity availability.
