Set directly on Biscayne Bay in the midst of Edgewater’s residential condos, Margaret Pace Park is something of a hidden gem tucked away just north of Downtown Miami. Named for one of Miami’s most important preservationists, Margaret Pace Park boasts picturesque waterfront views of the Venetian Islands and Miami Beach beyond. It’s a popular spot where locals walk their dogs along the waterfront and watch them play in the enclosed dog park. You’re likely to spot joggers stretching after an evening run, as well as friendly pickup games at the park’s basketball, tennis and volleyball courts. With a playground and plenty of green space, it’s a family-friendly outdoor destination. It’s also a great place to people-watch and soak up the views while enjoying a picnic on a park bench or at a picnic table – especially with popular local sandwich shop Daily Creative right around the corner.
