Bistro Cook (Line Cook)

At Courtyard we have everything you need to move forward with your new career at the newly renovated Courtyard by Marriott Aventura Mall; we are looking for a dedicated Bistro Cook to join our Team. Essential Job Functions: Setup and Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, washing, peeling chopping, and storing food. Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality and presentation standards, food preparation checklist and number of covers served, check and ensure the correctness of the temperature of appliances and food. Operate ovens, stoves, grills, fryers and other equipment. Clean and sanitize back of the house, including but not limited to trash removal, equipment, countertops, sweeping, mopping, washing dishes Cleaning, setup, service and breakdown of Food and Beverage in meeting rooms, according to Banquet Event Orders Deliver orders to guestrooms as requested Qualifications and Requirements 1 Year of Line Cook experience required Food Safety Certificate preferred The employee is required to stand, walk, for prolonged periods of time Must use hands to perform food preparation and sanitation responsibilities Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
