Event Sales Consultant Users finding the Event Options website have been the driving factor leading to the 300% growth from pre-covid levels. The Event Sales Consultant will be directly responsible for continuing that pace by managing inbound sales and turning them into confirmed business for Event Options. Event Options is an event and production company that also has an online marketplace with event rental items which eliminates the need to shop all over town for an event - think Expedia for event rentals. We are laser focused on driving Event Options to reach its potential of disrupting the entire event industry ecosystem. Our goal is to become the nationally recognized go to brand for the rental of event products and services. Currently there is no national event company. Background When sourcing for the best products and services for a particular event, it can often take days and multiple requests for suppliers to eventually provide clients with the specs on the items they own – prices, quantity, colors, sizes, materials, pictures. Event planners would then need to navigate all the different pricing formulas including multi-day rates, minimum order amounts, delivery fees and more. Days are spent reviewing and consolidating all the information from various sources - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDFs, emails, and websites – to choose the ideal items for a client. At Event Options, we eliminate those inefficiencies for the entire event ecosystem. We aggregate all of the inventory from multiple suppliers in each market, providing our customers with all the data they need to search for perfect items for their event. Our simple to use website allows our customers to: • Shop from 1000s of items and select the best products for their particular event • Benefit from pricing transparency – our rental prices are the same as the suppliers, no markup. • Order items at their convenience for multiple events, 24/7, using our event cart • Utilize one company for all the items needed for their event, regardless of the number of suppliers. It is our goal to make the search, ordering and delivery of event products and services seamless, convenient and at the lowest cost possible. Event Sales Consultant The Event Sales Consultant will have the responsibility of servicing and managing inbound opportunities from various sources including: customer created events on the Event Options website, emails, phone call, chat. Most clients have an idea of their needs and the items they would like to use for their event. The Event Sales Consultant will work with the clients with the goal of creating a sale by recommending the best items for their event based in minimizing costs and availability on the specific event date and logistics. As you become proficient in your role, we would expect your recommendations on how to make the sales process more efficient and easier for clients to confirm their orders. General Responsibilities: • Follow up with clients that order online to ensure logistics and costing is accurate so the order can be processed. • Work with clients directly on the best items to use for their event. • Schedule Zoom conversations with clients to get a solid understanding of their event and provide the benefits of working with Event Options for their particular event. • Source from suppliers to attain availability of items needed for your clients events. • Prepare proposals for clients with recommended items. • Follow up with clients until the proposal is confirmed. • Prepare cost sheets with projected P&L for each job confirmed. • Upon confirmation, provide accounting with the billing and all related vendor agreements. • Maintain relationship with client and suppliers up through the delivery. The Event Sales Consultant will work directly with the President of the company and will take direct responsibility for the development and growth of the inside sales department. As you learn more about the various types of events we service (corporate events, festivals, tradeshows, weddings) and products utilized within each event sector, you will be able to take on more and more responsibility within Event Options. We are expecting you to be a hard-working, self-motivated key employee that can work independently, manage others, think outside the box, wear many hats, and do it all with a great attitude.
