By Matthew Meltzer - July 10, 2024
One of the best parts of summer in Greater Miami & Miami Beach is Miami Spice Restaurant Months. During August and September, some of the destination’s top restaurants offer special prix-fixe dinner menus for $45 or $60. Some restaurants also offer lunch and brunch menus for $30 or $35. The three-course menus showcase what each restaurant does best and offer a fun, affordable way to discover Miami's dining scene.
The two-month program also gives diners the chance to try some of Miami's hot new restaurants as well as established restaurants that are participating in Miami Spice for the first time. Check out some of the new Miami Spice additions for 2024 and start booking your tables today.
Gordon Ramsay brings his Hell's Kitchen experience to Downtown Miami, giving guests the feeling of dining on the hit TV show's set. The wraparound kitchen looks like a stage where the chefs prepare each of Ramsay's creations in front of an audience of excited diners. While you may or may not spot the celebrity chef during Miami Spice, you can still enjoy some of the best items from the Hell's Kitchen menu, including truffle risotto, braised short rib and – for a $14 upgrade – the famous beef Wellington.
This elegant Downtown Miami restaurant sits right at the mouth of the Miami River, where you can enjoy an extensive menu of fresh seafood and premium steaks from a front-row seat on the water. If you’re planning to check out the Miami Spice menu at the upscale Mastro's, note that there is a strict dress code. You'll be rewarded for your thoughtful wardrobe choice with an extensive Miami Spice menu. Start out with crispy garlic tuna sashimi, ceviche mixto or lobster bisque. Then, move on to a selection of six main items, ranging from jerk-spiced Florida grouper and grilled salmon to several bone-in steaks, including filet mignon and ribeye.
Casadonna is a stunning new restaurant on the ground floor of the Miami Women's Club in Downtown Miami. The waterfront locale and historic setting make it one of the most elegant venues in Miami, and guests can now enjoy the unparalleled ambiance during Miami Spice. Casadonna's menu will include some of its biggest hits, like Wagyu beef carpaccio and hamachi with compressed apple and oregano as appetizers. Main courses include campanelle Bolognese, organic chicken breast diavolo, Mediterranean branzino and filet mignon.
This multi-story venue, boasting two restaurants, a members-only beach club and endless waterfront parties, is the latest hot spot along the Miami River. Casa Neos captures the laid-back, coastal spirit of Europe in the summer. Its first foray into Miami Spice will include Mediterranean specialties like crispy cod beignets, yellowfin tuna tartar and black truffle pasta. Guests can cap off their experience with a raspberry millefeuille or a selection of sorbets.
South Beach's see-and-be-seen steakhouse, Papi Steak, joins Miami Spice for the first time this year. Dine among celebrities in a glamorous setting as you choose among appetizers of yellowfin tuna with sesame miso and avocado, grilled bone marrow with black truffle, and Papi's chopped salad. Then, move on to an epic selection of main courses, including a 6 oz. filet au poivre, airline roasted chicken breast, and grilled branzino with salsa verde. The meal finishes with a selection of two desserts: Papi's chocolate cake or a caramelized banana profiterole.
The approachable Italian menu at Mirabella at the Fontainebleau Miami Beach is a hit with guests and locals alike in Mid Beach. Its house-made pastas and rich red sauces come with a roving gin and negroni cart where a server mixes drinks tableside. The restaurant’s first foray into Miami Spice is a great one, offering a generous selection of appetizers like traditional meatballs, eggplant parm and lobster burrata. Main courses are equally enticing – guests can choose fennel sausage cavatelli, roasted chicken marsala, lobster risotto, lumachel in spicy vodka sauce, or branzino.
The stunning Lido Restaurant at the Surf Club is an immersion in history and artwork where guests dine under the original ceilings from 1930 and frescos that have been painstakingly restored. Before delving into the Surfside restaurant's new Miami Spice menu, stop by the sparkling Champagne Bar for a cocktail and breathe in the ambiance of one of the area’s most luxurious bars. Then, sit down and explore Lido's special menu, which includes thinly sliced vitello tonnato and burrata as appetizers and branzino, suprema di pollo, and spinach and ricotta cappellacci as the mains.
This colorful restaurant in Aventura is a fun place to explore the flavors of Peru with a big group. The large portions at Jarana Aventura are designed to be enjoyed by several people.
