Art Talk: Alfredo Salazar-Caro
This event has passed.
Visitors are invited to join a conversation with digital artist Alfredo Salazar-Caro at Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM). Presented as part of the museum’s Art Talk series, Art Talk: Alfredo Salazar-Caro will take place on Saturday, April 12 in PAMM’s auditorium, followed by a Q&A session.
Known for his multidisciplinary approach, Salazar-Caro will discuss his work across various media including virtual and augmented reality, video, sculpture, biocompatible architecture and social practice. He will also reflect on the themes and creative process behind Como Semillas en el Viento (Like Seeds in the Wind), his recent augmented reality piece created for PAMM’s New Realities series. The work incorporates 3D scans of Mexica artifacts and immigrant workers from Central and South America, paired with poetry-based soundscapes that highlight their personal histories and contributions.
Admission to the museum is free all day, with seating for the talk available on a first-come, first-served basis.
