From: 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM
Explore the creative practices of two Florida-based artists during an engaging afternoon at The CAMP Gallery in North Miami. On Saturday, January 30, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., the gallery will host an artist talk featuring Jason Hackenwerth and Andrew Arocho, with the discussion beginning at 2:30 p.m. Light refreshments and finger food will be provided, and admission is free.
Jason Hackenwerth, a multidisciplinary artist known for his work in painting, sculpture and installation, will present The Playground in Gallery A. This series, The Champions, explores themes of consumerism and food through mythical, commercially inspired beings. Hackenwerth’s work has been exhibited globally, including at the Guggenheim Museum and the Victoria and Albert Museum.
Andrew Arocho, an artist and designer from Puerto Rico, brings a bold and culturally rich aesthetic to his abstract paintings. In Gallery B, his collaborative exhibition Where Color Transports highlights the expressive power of color, inviting viewers to experience its emotional and theoretical impact.
The event is part of The CAMP Gallery’s mission to showcase emerging and mid-career artists with innovative approaches to contemporary art. For more information, contact hello@thecampgallery.com.
